Remembering.........

Gettysburg

I think it is important that we take the time to remember that great battle that was called by some "The turn of the Civil War". On July 1-3, they fought with everything they had, giving all their energy and strength for this battle. Anyway, just thought it would be a good reminder to everybody. I encourage you to gets books and films and remember our forefathers, it's always so intriguing to learn or relearn all that went on there. Also remembering.....

Independence Day

Well, it's kind of hard to forget that one, but just to be patriotic, remembering the cost of our freedom, and what these brave and heroic men did. Ahhh, history.....

Picture

Here is a self portrait of me that I took of myself and played around with. That is my original lip and eye color that I cloned off the actual color picture. The sepia makes it look weird.
I'll try to post something more significant later today if I finish it, but for now I just wanted to show you this picture.

The Proper Behavior of a Young Lady

Here is a short list I found and thought it was so good I just had to share it:

The Proper Behavior of a Young Lady

1: In everything she says she must know what she is saying and why.

Proverbs 10:19

2: She must not be afraid to be looked down upon by the world if she knows what she is doing is right.
1 Peter 3:14

3: When she is interacting with those of the opposite gender she should be reserved. Friendly but not flirtatious. Kind but not showing any particular attention.
1 Timothy 5:1-2

4: The music she listens to, the movies she watches, and the books she reads should have some purpose beyond keeping her entertained.
Philippians 4:8

5: She should prepare herself in every way to be a mother and wife, both in the skills she undertakes to learn, and in the guarding of her heart.
Titus 2:5

6: When children are the occupants of her attention she should be good natured, patient, and happy. She should follow their whims, play the games they want to play, and do the things they want to do. Even if they tire her, she must not tire them.
Matthew 19:14

7: When she is alone she must turn her thoughts to God. She must strive to be the young lady who is pleasing in the sight of the Lord. There is no greater goal than this.
Psalm 139:23-24

New Story, But The Same Story...

You now that I posted a teaser on our blog, right? I decided that I would not write that part of the story. I am kind of changing it. Sir Gavin is not the main character. That was kind of an introduction. Yep, it is changed. Here is another teaser that I am going to keep. Enjoy...

Sir Charles Heartman watched as Sir Gavin suddenly vanished, his face shinning. But only Charles knew what had happened. The King had called him home. Charles had meet the King, long ago. The King had told him to never fight Sir Jaller Breakheart and when Gavin said he would fight him, Charles had felt sick. But he was glad that the King had chosen to bring Gavin home...

There you go. New Story, But The Same Story. Hope you like it.

Easier Said Than Done

Boy, have I found that one out! Keeping those nasty words from popping out of your mouth has been, well, easier said than done. So many times it just comes out like that, and then a split second later I realize what I just said and wish I hadn't done it. Arrrrrrggghhhh! The hardest thing has been that I am always trying to come up with a smart response to something somebody else said, to try to prove myself better than they are. I just felt that I needed to make a little confession, and renew my resolution to control what I am saying.

One of his handmaids,

Jillian

"Let the words of my mouth, and
the meditation of my heart be
acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my
strength and my redeemer."-
Psalm 19:14

Teaser!

Okay. You might not be interested in this, but I am going to tell you something. I am writing a book. Yep. It does not really have a name right now but for now I am calling it "Only One Can Reign".
So here is a little teaser of what it is about.

Sir Gavin drew his sword." We fight. For the Lord!"Sir Gavin charged forward. King Galin and his army also came, yelling. "King Galin!" Over and over again. The two army's met. The clash of a million swords rang in Gavin's ears. "Lord," Sir Gavin prayed." Give us strength for this battle." A light shone before Gavin. It filled Sir Gavin with the will to do God's will! Sir Gavin cut down one after another. But more came and attacked at the same time. Sir Gavin felt his strength weakening...

There is my teaser. And the story is not finished yet either, so don't ask to read it.
