Rainy Day Blessings

It is raining, has been all day and it is still a lovely day, because the Lord has made it.
When it rains I enjoy playing the piano, moody, romantic pieces, orderly, classical ones, and the inspirational hymns.
It is perfect weather for tea by the potful.
And pumpkin muffins as a little treat.

The bit of sunshine in my day comes from this sunny bouquet from my good friend Roman.
He brought them into work for me the other day. I am enjoying courting him and thank the Lord for this added blessing to brighten the gray days.

You Know your a Bookworm When...

...A picture like this makes your heart go just a little faster...

You read while eating, if Mom allows it.

You have done the good ol' "Read under the covers with a flashlight" routine before.

You can get lost in a good story.

Brand new paper smells really good to you.

You have read for a whole afternoon.

Your version of "sleeping in" is waking up, grabbing a book, and reading it in bed.

Libraries are one of your favorite places to go.

You like being sick because it gives you an extra chance to read.

When you get back from the library, you disappear, the house is quiet until Mom calls you to dinner, and you come out of you room having read several chapters.

You think hardbacks are better than paperbacks.

The librarian lady kindly asks you if you want a couple bags for all those books.

If you are 0-3 of the above, your not really a bookworm
If you are 4-6 of the above, you really like books.
If you are 6-12 of the above, you are a bookworm.

What were you results?
In Christ,
Jillian

Seeds + Sunshine = FUN

We bought seeds today. Yippee! Jillian and I are super excited, being the family gardeners. Was able to do some tilling and weeding, and Jillian did a very thorough job pulling the dead grass from around the raspberries. I am so glad to have the snow melt and to work in the garden.
I also got to wear my flowered wellies, that I think are just so much fun. They make gardening a much brighter experience. And our small fountain is up and running, providing the soothing background of flowing water.

Well, to every other gardener out there, enjoy working in God's Creation, doing a holy work for Him.
